Cooking Camp is for the girl who wants to learn how to cook, show off her skills, or just have fun! Parents can expect a new more confident kitchen helper after a week with us!
Inspired by The Gospel, Sur La Table children cooking camps, Le Creuset cookware, Bon Appetite Magazine menus, leadership from mentors during work at Mastersons Catering, being raised by a chef, and the colorful kitchen equipment of the American Girl line in William Sonoma, founder of Abigail Academy, Ms. Abbey Mueller and her radiant team are giving Louisville Girls an irresistible – won’t want to miss out on- summer cooking camp experience.
Each girl has the privilege of signing up to join us for 2 five day fun filled cooking camps (and a third week in our Fashion Camp if she likes fashion and art!) this summer! We will have two different menus, and adjust participation based on the age groups, ensuring each age group has hands on participation through out the week.
Girls can expect to learn new cooking techniques, refine old skills, be inspired by the menus, have a blast with the camp cooking competitions, and food photography lessons.
COOKING CAMPS I, II, III
Breakfast + Brunch + Baking (think cupcake wars!)
COOKING CAMPS IV, V, VI
Party Foods + Cook Offs (think master mini chefs!)
Fashion Camp is for the girl who has artistic dreams, and wants to learn how to make them a reality! Parents will be surprised by all of the positive life lessons we fit into a week of camp!
Savannah School of Art & Design fashion design tours, studies at Stephens College, fashion runway work in San Francisco, design work in Manhattan’s ABC Carpet & Home, playing as the local Fashion Camp director for the previously known as The Summit Shopping Center, and participation on the Faces of Christ women’s retreat, are the inspiration sources for an incomparable Fashion Camp constructed by the founder of Abigail Academy, Ms. Abbey Mueller and her creative team.
Fashion Campers will study trends, design garments, learn stitching, and produce a runway show with explosive creativity. If campers want more of what they experience in this week, we encourage them to stay close to us by participating in the After School Club that runs through the school year, so they can continue growing in their faith and confidence that they will need as they one day explore life in the fashion STEAM industry.
